Gung Hay Fat Choy!

We had such an amazing time at London's Chinese New Year celebrations today. Apparently they are the biggest outside mainland China! I took loads of photos, and, for once, I actually went through them when I got home and only kept my favourites. So much more enjoyable to look through, although I still kept alot - do check out my top 20 on flickr.

One World - One Heart Update

I'll be doing the draw on the 14th, to allow for everyone to join in on the 13th regardless of time zones. I'll announce the winner here on Valentine's Day around noon GMT. If there are more than 50 entries, and we're getting close, I'll felt another vessel. (There were & I did!) I don't have any more wool in those colours, so it will probably have teal as the main colour. Comment on the original post to enter the draw.

Remember, you don't need to give anything away to participate, you just have to have a blog. Now go check out all the other participants' blogs. We're up to 374!!!

One World - One Heart Giveaway

Vase_1

Catching up on google reader tonight I saw Jonna's post about the 'One World - One Heart' blogging giveaway. I had seen this somewhere else (I remembered, it was here at Lemoncholy's flight of fancy) as well as was intrigued. There is only a week to go before the worldwide draw. If you want to take part, either by entering draws or running a draw, you can find out more here at Lisa Oceandreamer's site. It is an event to bring bloggers together and encourage worldwide friendships and new bloggers. I think it is a wonderful idea and am honoured to be part of it, even if I am joining rather late.

I will be giving someone this hand-felted vessel. It is chocolate brown and valentine pinks in merino wool, wet-felted. It's about 4 inches wide and 4 inches tall. It's very tactile, soft and squashable and firm at the same time. It will happily go back to it's original shape even after it has been mailed across the ocean or wherever, and won't break if the kids knock it onto the floor! If you want to use it as a vase you'll have to put a little jar inside. Leave a comment if you would like it, and I will draw a name on the 14th. Thanks for looking! ***DRAW NOW CLOSED***
