Winter is a time to prepare new growth
And so I must always remind myself. I've been quiet, reflective, listless in a way that often comes to me in late winter. Life has been changing, big things have come up. 2010 seems to be a time of great shifts.
But now spring is here and the sky is brighter and there is that scent on the breeze again. It is a time to shyly step forth, to show your colours once again, to lift your face to the sun (but not forgetting your sunscreen).
What will this time of growth bring you?
Do you think I have enough masking tape?
The colours haven't come across perfectly in this photo, but there are aqua blues, maroon, black and white, and some greys. It is Japanese masking tape and it is so versatile. Present and Correct stock it in the UK, but I couldn't resist stocking up in Kinokuniya. I use it in journalling, as a decorative element, mainly to stick down photos, but also to write or stamp on, especially when working with thin paper that ink will bleed through. The pale grey grid pattern is my favourite.
