Pencil Lines Sketch #40

Camping

Another page in the spirit of accepting challenge, this one based on the latest sketch over at Pencil Lines. In May half-term we went camping with dear friends and Godchildren. I wrote a little about it here. I took the Lomo LCA+ for a camera, so the photos have a different feel to them, less predictable results, hyperintense colours. I have been waiting for a chance to do something with them, but they seem a little harder to use. I love this sketch, and got to use 6 photos - the more the better I feel.

Materials:

Crate Paper - Zoom and Samantha ranges.
Bazzill cardstock - grass green in washboard texture (yay, I got to use my swatch book!)
Crop-o-dile eyelets
absolutely ancient Girls Are Weird letter stickers by Provocraft
Making Memories Rmmage rub-ons
Autumn Leaves journalling stamps

Photo Hunt: Shadows

Dsc_4023

A couple of thoughts behind this photo. Purely graphically, I loved the light and shadow playing on the curtains. Emotionally, I love being inside on a sunny day sometimes, it feels so illicit. Playing with the concept of shadow, life is going on outside, but here the curtains are shut - who is hiding? what are they hiding? why?

I'm Not Fussy but...

It's just the way I like it!
K kindly making me breakfast and I know he thinks I am fussy about my bread and peanut butter consumption. Actually it is only because he doesn't listen accurately. There are three things I might ask for:

  1. bread and peanut butter. trans. just that - no sandwich, no jam, no butter. Just bread and peanut butter.
  2. peanut butter and jam sandwich. trans. piece of bread with peanut butter, piece of bread with jam, smoosh together... sandwich! If you really want to win favour, cut it diagonally, but really, that's optional.
  3. peanut butter toast. trans. toast, first buttered, then peanut buttered.

Now I understand that I am lucky that he is making me breakfast. But please understand that we have been married for 15 years, and I have been completely consistent in those three things. So please don't call me fussy.

This made me think about all of the ways in which I am not fussy, it's just the way I like it!

  1. The whole bread and peanut butter story.
  2. I like pizza to be pizza and Mexican food to be Mexican. Please don't give me a Mexi-pizza.
  3. Chocolate covered stuff (uk - biscuits/N.A. - cookies) with my coffee. Yes please. And yes, I will dunk it so the chocolate melts. But please don't leave it next to the mug so that it is all melted already.

I'm leaving it there, because, hey, we're not fussy right? (and I think if we go with more than 3, we may be entering fussy territory!).

Now I tag Jools (to support her new shiny remodelled blog), Latharia, Caz, Dawn (D'Blogala) and YOU!  Go on! Share! We know you're not fussy, it's just the way you like it!
